British Journal of Higher Education in Further Education

..is a new on-line journal which has not yet published any issues, but which promises to meet the needs of those working in the HE in FE sector. It will be free to users, and is aimed at researchers, policy-makers and practitioners.

Journal of Further and Higher Education

..is an international, peer-reviewed journal (Taylor and Francis) which publishes articles and book reviews representing the whole field of post-16 education and training.

Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) (2006) This reports on the findings of 105 reviews of higher education delivered in further education colleges with a view to identifying and disseminating good practice as well as assisting institutions in the development of provision.  Subject areas covered by the report include art, design, communications, media, film and television studies.

Department for Education and Skills (DfES) (2006) This White Paper outlines plans for reform in further education colleges in England.  Chapter 2 outlines the role of further education colleges in the provision of higher education.
