Creative Writing in relation to formal essay-writing skills and the understanding of literature
Using interviews and questionnaires as well as samples of student work, this project examined student perceptions of the way in which a Creative Writing component, taken in the first term of their university degree, provides skills which are relevant to the study of English Literature

This project involved researching and creating a web-based module which concentrated on research and writing skills, helping students make the transition from A-level directed work to university self-directed study.

Exploring the Potential of Peer Tutoring in Developing Student Writing (St Mary's Belfast)
This project launched an initiative to train students how to talk to other students about improving their writing. Student tutors were invited to initial training sessions where they were presented with a model for conducting one-to-one tutoring sessions with fellow students.
