Centre Manager - Jane Gawthrope
Current responsibilities
Jane was the Centre Manager. She was responsible for its operational management, including planning, commissioning, reporting, evaluation, personnel, marketing and financial control. She also led the Subject Centre's work in employability and enterprise and on education for sustainable development. Jane was involved in most of the Centre's publications and edited the Subject Centre Report series. Jane is now working as the Arts Faculty Manager at Royal Holloway, University of London.
Biography
Jane completed her first degree in Management Sciences at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in 1982. After completing her MA in Librarianship at Sheffield University in 1984, she pursued a career in university libraries, becoming Deputy Head of Library Services at Brunel University. She joined the English Subject Centre in 2001.
Jane has substantial experience of project management varying from library relocations and refurbishments to questionnaire and interview-based surveys.
